Rahul Dravid is traveling to New Zealand with the India A team where they will engage in three one-dayers and three unofficial Tests against New Zealand A, starting Nov 16.

Dravid is excited to see the young guns and some of the Test regulars traveling with the team to New Zealand, where pitch provides a different productive preparatory session to the team. “I think it is a really good challenge to play there and experience what it is like to play overseas in that kind of conditions,” he said.

Dravid also emphasized that every white-ball game is important for the team keeping the World Cup 2019 in mind. Meanwhile, considering that the format is pretty competitive, Dravid added that these matches would provide a good preparation for international series and help to gain some match time experience. “The endeavor is to improve our cricket overseas,” he added.

Both the sides will clash for three Tests from November 16 to December 3 while they will play three ODIs from December 7 to 11.
