Wary of the threat that the hosts still posess, despite the historic win at Sylhet, Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza has urged his team to take the confidence forward but remain as focused on the task as possible.

Aware that a draw in Mirpur will be sufficient for Zimbabwe to lift the trophy for the two-match series and clinch only their third overseas series victory in the history of the game, Masakadza wants his men to cast aside all those thoughts and not take any extra pressure, in order to approach the game with the right mindset.

"It will be huge for the team if we manage to win the series," Masakadza told reporters ahead of Day 1 of the second Test on Sunday, November 11, "We haven't won a series in the recent past and didn't win too many games, so it will be a massive boost for the team if they come with a win here."

"The performance in the first Test gives us a lot of confidence," he affirmed, "But more importantly as a team, we are definitely looking to win the series."

Having looked at the surface already, Masakadza emphasized over it and felt, "This is always a result wicket. We know that to win the series we have to win here. As a team, we are definitely looking forward to do it and trying to be on top again," reiterating, "In a Test match, the most important thing is trying to take 20 wickets. And the same thing will be applied here. We will try to bowl them out here also."

Asserting how dangerous Bangladesh has been for a while in these conditions, Masakadza expressed,  "They will be hungry and they will come harder against us. They are a very proud team and a very good team. We expect a very tough battle," and signed off with, "We expect them to come very hard to try and level the series. But we are also prepared to give them a good game."
