Indian film actor Siddharth heavily lashed out at Indian skipper Virat Kohli for his harsh 'leave India' remark to a fan, who said he likes watching English and Australian batsmen more than the Indians on the social media.

Kohli has always been in the headlines whether be it his on-field aggression or his incredible batting show or his pictures with wife Anushka Sharma on the social media, but this time the dashing right-hander made news for the wrong reason.

The Indian skipper put himself into the controversy during the launch of his mobile application when he told a fan that he should not be living in India if he cannot like Indian cricketers after read out a message – “Over-rated batsman and personally I see nothing special in his batting. I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians.”

The remark was made during the part where Virat Kohli read mean comments on social media from fans.

To which Kohli replied that put him into the major controversy: “Okay, I don't think you should live in India then...you should go and live somewhere else, no? Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don't mind you not liking me but I don't think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right.”

Ever since the video went viral on the social media, fans have expressed their staunch views over Kohli’s statements on the social media, calling him arrogant and obnoxious.

Meanwhile, the Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth too made his views clear calling the Indian skipper's comment "an idiotic set of words".

His tweet reads, “If you want to remain #KingKohli it may be time to teach yourself to think 'What would Dravid say?' before speaking in future. What an idiotic set of words to come from an #India #captain!”

On the other hand, fans have now started targeting Kohli based on his own words –for his two-year-old tweet where he said his favourite Tennis player is not Sania Mirza but Angelique Kerber.
