Pakistan defeated Australia by 11 runs in the second Twenty20 international in Dubai to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series on Friday. Pakistan had won the first match by 66 runs in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Former Australia cricketer Dean Jones was impressed by the performance of Pakistan. The men in green, after opting to bat first, scored 147 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Babar Azam hit a 44-ball 45 with three boundaries while Mohammad Hafeez scored a quick 34-ball 40 with two sixes and three boundaries.

In reply, Australia could only manage 136 runs in their 20 overs. Their highest scorer was Glenn Maxwell (52), who lost his wicket in the final over when his team needed 16 runs off 4 balls.

Impressed with Pakistan, Jones took Twitter to laud their effort. But what landed him in trouble is his request for a series between India and Pakistan. "Well done Pakistan!! 10 T20 Series wins in a row now!!! Since the PSL started.. they have become beasts at this game! I would love to see a 5 games #IndvPak."

His tweet sent a wrong message to the fans and he had to explain it later. "I am not being provocative here.. I just would love to see a 5 game Series between India and Pakistan. I would pay money to watch that I can assure you! #bringiton," wrote Jones.
