WATCH – Ishant Sharma returns to nets with Team India after injury lay-off

Ishant Sharma got injured in the Oval Test against England recently.

Ishant Sharma | GettyIshant Sharma has been the Indian pace spearhead in Test cricket for a long time now and has proven to be quite handy with the change in his line and length which has paid rich dividends to the 87-Test veteran.

The 30-year-old Delhi pacer has been instrumental in Indian team fighting back on the tours of South Africa and England this year, picking 26 wickets in 7 Tests with one fifer against England. However, Ishant Sharma’s long Test sojourn was cut short due to an injury in the fifth and final Test against England.

Ishant left the field after bowling 8 overs due to pain in his ankle on the day four of the Oval Test. He has since spent time nursing his injury and wasn’t picked for the two-Test series against West Indies as well.

However, BCCI has put up a video on their official Twitter of Ishant Sharma bowling in the nets to Team India in Vizag. He looks fit and raring to go on India’s next tour of Australia.

Here is the video:
