Explosive batting might, Chris Gayle has expressed willingness to travel to Pakistan and Afghanistan despite the depressing security obstacles but has one condition, where the "Universe Boss" amusingly joked that he wants to be provided a "private jet to make the trip."

The West Indies opener, who is currently featuring for Balkh Legends in the ongoing Afghanistan Premier League (APL), has been in some terrific form in the tournament, where he has helped his side reach the final to be played on Sunday, October 21, with three consecutive 50+ scores at a typical Chris Gayle strike-rate.

Gayle has also played for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) but has not been able to travel to the amazingly fond of cricket country, since playing for West Indies there, before the dreadful 2009 incident.

"I’ve never been to Pakistan or Afghanistan, but perhaps I can go and chill with the Prime Minister (Imran Khan) since he was a former cricketer," Gayle was quoted saying on AFP, "We will have to wait and see if I will undertake a trip there [for the second edition of the APL next year]. If you have a private jet then send it to me, and that would be my condition to visit Pakistan and Afghanistan,"

This is when, when asked whether he'll travel to Afghanistan if some APL matches take place there next year, Gayle said, “We shall see what happens next year. There is still time and there is so much of cricket left in-between now and the next edition. Let us see what happens when that time comes.”

Gayle further said that he wishes for the betterment of the game in the war-torn nation through this league and added, “At least this league will ensure a start for Afghanistan. The base has been laid and we all know that we can actually build on this inaugural edition of the APL. I am sure a lot of the other players have noticed this league and they will show an interest as well and the league will continue growing,” he signed off.
