Harbhajan Singh angry with people playing politics in Amritsar Train accident

Harbhajan showed his outburst on Twitter after the accident took a political turn.

A tragic accident in Punjab left the whole country numb on the occasion of Dusshera. While people were gathered near Joda Phatak of Choura Bazar in Amritsar, two trains ran over the crowd. As per reports, 61 people lost their lives and more than 70 got injured.

Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh was dejected by the accident. At the same time, he was angry with people bringing politics into the mishap.

Wife of Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, Navjot Kaur Sidhu was present at the venue as chief guest. A BJP member said that she had left the area soon after the accident, which was denied by Navjot.

An eyewitness at Amritsar accident site told ANI, "Congress had organised Dussehra celebrations here without permission. Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife was the chief guest at the celebrations and she continued to give a speech as people were struck down by the train."

Harbhajan responded to the tweet and replied, "Can I plz request people to stop blaming each other’s or parties.. it’s not about political thing..it’s a very sad incident which has happen...it’s time for all the political parties and people to come together and help each others..STOP THIS BLAME GAME FOR GOD SAKE."

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has announced a compensation of INR 5 lakhs to the family members of people who lost their lives in the unfortunate accident.
