Aakash Chopra announces his all-time ODI XI, MS Dhoni not named captain

Chopra has also picked Yuvraj Singh in his team, Virender Sehwag misses out.

Aakash Chopra | TwitterFormer Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra, who has made a name for himself through cricket commentary and analysis, has named his all-time ODI XI for India on social media platform Instagram. He has some big names in his eleven; most of them are the current era greats.

A batsman who couldn't find a place in his team was Chopra's former opening partner and Delhi mate Virender Sehwag. Aakash has picked Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma for the spot and thinks they are best suited for the job.

For number three he has Sourav Ganguly, and Virat Kohli comes in at number 4. Number four is currently a position which has bothered the Indian team management. His all-time XI also indicates that Chopra wants Kohli to take the role of India's number 4 batsman.

Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni have won many games for India together. Their partnership used to be very vital for the Indian team. Aakash seemed to have forced everyone to go in flashback and relive those moments as he picked these two Indian stars his number four and five.

For captaincy and all-around role, Kapil Dev has sealed the spot. The 1983 World cup winning captain is, inarguably, the best all-rounders India has ever produced.

The current commentator has picked two spinners and India’s best – Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh in his team. His pace attack has Zaheer Khan and Jasprit Bumrah to lead the bowling department.

Here is Aakash Chopra's All-Time India ODI XI:
Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Kapil Dev (c), Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Jasprit Bumrah.
