The latest name entered into the most controversial and debatable current #MeToo movement that can give a serious shock to Indian Cricket, is of Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) CEO Rahul Johri.

The BCCI CEO is the latest high-profile personality to be accused of sexual harassment, as Johri has been accused of sexual harassment by a journalist on Friday (October 12).

Author Harnidh Kaur shared screenshots of a detailed report of the victim on her Twitter handle, where she revealed that Johri had taken advantage of a woman, who doesn’t wish to reveal her name, by offering a job opportunity during his stint at Discovery channel.

A tweet reads along with some pages of detail, “Had emails sent about a BUNCH of head honchos in media. Survivor has asked to not put out all the names. Rahul Johari, your #timesup #metoo”

Before taking up the role as the BCCI CEO in April 2016, Johri worked as Executive Vice President and General Manager - South Asia for Discovery Networks Asia Pacific.

Meanwhile, the #MeeToo movement has taken the Hindi film industry by storm, as plenty of high-profile names from the industry being accused of sexual misconduct ever since Actress Tanushree Dutta claimed that Nana Patekar had harassed her in 2008 and now it hit Cricket world.

Now, Johri becomes the first high-profile personality associated with Indian cricket to be named in the #MeToo storm. Recently, Sri Lankan cricketers Lasith Malinga and Arjuna Ranatunga were also accused of sexual harassment.

Reportedly, Ranatunga was accused by an Indian flight attendant, while singer Chinmayi Sripaada claimed that Malinga sexually assaulted a woman at a Mumbai hotel.

In January 2013, Johri was named as 'CEO of the Year' at the Broadcasting Industry Awards, while was among the top 10 Sports Business Executives of the Year by Sports Business last year and this accusations will certainly flash out his image unless he came out with his side.

However, Johri is yet to comment on the matter but his future at the BCCI is in danger as the Board would certainly not like to have such person in, after all, it’s the matter of image of Indian Cricket.
