The budding Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have always credited MS Dhoni for their improvement. They have accepted how Dhoni guides them, every now and then, from behind the wickets which have benefited the youngsters.

Chahal is now an integral member of the Indian limited overs team. His performance has built faith in India captain Virat Kohli that makes him prefer the 28-year-old more over any other spinner.

The Haryana cricketer named Dhoni as one of the players who show him the way in difficult times.

"I still look to Dhoni bhai whenever I am in trouble or need any advice during a match," Chahal said. "Dhoni bhai has amazing observation skills. he can tell from behind the stumps that a bowler has a doubt or has questions by our body language alone. Whenever I am in doubt, he comes and solves the problem," he added.

"Not just me, other bowlers too take help from him. We all are lucky to have him in the team," the leggie said.

Talking about a conversation he had with the Indian wicket-keeper during the Super four match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2018, Chahal revealed how Dhoni helped him when Rohit Sharma, India's stand-in skipper during the tournament threw a challenge towards him.

"During the match, Rohit Sharma was having a discussion with Dhoni bhai. Rohit bhai came and asked me to bowl in the Powerplay. I looked at Dhoni bhai, he rushed towards me and asked me to bowl 'stump to stump'. I did just that and trapped Imam Ul Haq lbw," Chahal revealed.

"This is not the first time he has guided me. There have been many occasions in the past when I got wickets because of him," the leggie credited Dhoni.

We have seen full-time Indian captain Virat Kohli too, having chats with former Indian captain Dhoni. Chahal said approaching Dhoni for an advice eases things for them.

"Virat Kohli is a great captain. Sometimes, when in doubt, he too approaches Dhoni and asks for advice. And it works really well for the team," Chahal said.

"Sometimes Dhoni bhai scolds us from behind the stumps when we make mistakes," he added jokingly.

However, Chahal refrained from comparing Rohit, Virat, and Dhoni as captains, saying they all are different in their own way. "All three have different styles of captaincy. You can't compare their captaincy styles."
