West Indies head coach Stuart Law is confident that the Caribbean will give a tough fight to the No.1 ranked Test side led by Virat Kohli when they will play India in the upcoming two-match series here.

At the moment, the West Indian is busy in practicing in Dubai in a bid to ensure they are prepared to take the mighty Indians in the longest format of the game at their own backyard next month.

Windies tour to India will get underway with the two-match Test series with the first Test will start from October 4 in Rajkot followed by the five-match One Day International series.

On September 26, West Indies Cricket posted a video on their official Twitter handle, where Coach Law can be seen revealing his strategy against the Men in Blue. He also said that Windies are going there to compete and keep fighting till the very end, as who knows what can happen in the game.

He added, “Our top six are going to stick their hand up and score the big runs, they are capable of doing so. If we can put runs on the board we can create pressure by giving the bowlers something to work.”

Meanwhile, India is number one Test side at the moment, while West Indies are 8th ranked side in the ICC rankings and have not won a Test series in India since 1983/84 and even Law admitted that they are tough to beat at home, but never give up on their chances here.

Former Australian cricket added, “India isn’t going to be easy. They are the no.1 Test team in the world for a particular reason. We have to play really well to not only get into the contest but also we can pressure them into mistakes.”

Law signed off by saying, “We are going there to compete, we are going to keep fighting till the very end. Just never know, what can happen.”
