Virat Kohli's words of praise for Sachin Tendulkar on Mega Icons Show will win everyone's heart

Kohli feels embarrassed when he is compared to Sachin Tendulkar.

Indian Cricket Team skipper Virat Kohli, who is among those who were inspired and influenced by Sachin Tendulkar, has explained how master blaster changed the way cricket is looked at in the country.

The iconic cricketer who is often referred to as the God of Cricket by Indian fans is arguably the greatest batsman India has ever produced, is an inspiration for many across the globe for not only his on-field antics but also his humble and generous attitude off the field as well. 

The legendary batsman’s contribution towards the sport remains unparalleled, as Tendulkar’s not only shattered many records on the field but the way he carried the expectations of the country makes him greatest ever in the country. He made a lot of fans across the globe and Kohli is one of them.

In the first episode of National Geographic' documentary series The Mega Icons aired on television on September 24, Kohli explains Sachin's influence in the country in the most beautiful way.

The 29-year-old added, “Sachin Tendulkar was someone who changed the way everyone looked at the sport in this country. He was literally an emotion and not just a cricket player.”

In the show, the Indian skipper has shared various aspects of his life from his father's death to his approach to the game. Kohli insisted that he backs his instincts to get the best out of him on the field.
