Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has been appointed as the icon for T10 league which features 8 teams. Each match is played for 10 overs and features 100 international players and is played in UAE.

The tournament will start on November 23 and the final is set to be played on December 2. Kerala Kings was the winner of the first T10 competition in Sharjah last December.

Sharing the good news with his fans, Sehwag took Twitter and wrote, “It gives me immense pleasure to be the league icon of the most innovative format in world cricket, @t10leaguetweets led by its visionary @chairmanmulk."

Some Pakistan players may not be part of the tournament as season 2 clashes with the second Test between Pakistan and New Zealand in Dubai. The PCB is also cautious about releasing players who will not be involved in the Test series.
