Former all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has said that England's Ben Stokes has not been the same force as he was before going through the trial of affray. 

Stokes, alongside Alex Hales, were involved in a physical altercation with the general public late night outside a Bristol club in September 2017 and only recently the former was cleared of the charge by the law authorities of United Kingdom. 

Since then, although Stokes has played a highly substantial role in England's 4-1 Test series victory over India but Flintoff, who has watched him closely, felt, "You know when someone comes back and they lose a little bit of their aura?" adding on the BBC podcast, "To me, there's a bit of an unsureness about him, Ben Stokes goes through what he's come back from and to me, I watch him play and it's not the same Ben Stokes at the minute."

Flintoff further stressed on the matter saying, "You're aware of what people are thinking and that does rub off on you," before he concluded, "You're not just trying to win a game, you're trying to win people over. He's doing all right, but it's not that Ben Stokes that we saw pre his trial. And it takes a while to come back from and he hope he does."

Just recently, both Stokes and Hales were charged with putting the game into disrepute by the England and Wales Cricket Board(ECB) and both will have to be present for a hearing scheduled in December.
