In order to make sure that the Asia Cup 2018 gets a clear winner, for the first time in the tournament, Super Over is set to be introduced.

Super Over comprises of only six balls and two wickets for each team. It is yet to be used in the 50-over format and thus far has been implemented in the shortest format to get the final result.

As per the Playing Conditions released to all participating teams in the Asia Cup, if the official result of the match would be a "tie" then the winning team will be declared by using the "Super Over". Moreover, the victory will be deemed as equivalent to any other regular match.

It is worth noting here that the runs scored and wickets taken in super overs do not count towards a player's statistical record.
