Worcestershire Rapids lifted the Vitality Blast title on Saturday by 5 wickets beating Sussex Sharks at Birmingham. The star performer for the winning team was Moeen Ali, the skipper, who picked up three wickets and also added 41 runs in a chase of 158 runs.

However, it was Ben Cox who won the Man of the Match for his match-winning innings of 46* runs.

Ali won hearts after the game as he gave his medal to a kid present in the ground. The video was shared by the official Twitter account of Vitality Blast. "This is how you celebrate. Well played, Moeen Ali ????????????," they wrote.

Batting first Sussex scored 157/6 in their 20 overs. It was Laurie Evans' 52-run innings which took them to a fighting total. At one stage, the Sharks were looking good to go past 170 with 121/3 in 14 overs, but wickets at regular intervals didn't allow them to score freely.

While defending the target, Sussex dismissed first Worcestershire batsman after a 61-run stand. Joe Clarke (33) and Ali (41) provided a good platform for the chase. But it was Cox who took them over the line despite his team losing 3 wickets in middle overs which could have been a big turn around.
