PSL 2019 to kickstart on February 14, with eight games scheduled in Pakistan

The final of tournament will be played in Karachi on March 17.

The 2019 edition of Pakistan Super League(PSL) is set to kickstart on February 14 in the United Arab Emirates, with the organizers announcing that eight games of the tournament will be played in the land that makes up one-third of the competition's name. 

Pakistani fans should be delighted with the development that this time, a substantial amount of matches are coming home to embrace their love and support. 

The decision regarding the schedule was taken in a meeting involving members of the PSL Governing Council, comprising representatives of PCB and all PSL franchises at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. 

It was Ehsan Mani, the PCB chairman, who presided the meeting and discussed a number of important matters for the betterment of the ever progressing league. He also announced that there will be a greater transparency formed in the relationship between the board, PSL and it's franchisees, to whom, Mani cleared, a bigger say in the decision-making process will be given and also that their representatives would be a part of bid committees for various upcoming PSL rights. 

"PCB and all PSL franchises are partners in this project and I am confident that we will all work together to bring in good numbers for our next rights cycle," Mr. Ehsan Mani, was quoted saying. 

Discussions on the matter of PSL Player Draft were also done and it was decided that this year's draft would be based on last year's rankings with teams being allowed a maximum of 10 retentions.

The final of next year's much-anticipated tournament will take place in Karachi on March 17.
