Former  Pakistan skipper Aamer Sohail believes that the talented batsman Fakhar Zaman will play a crucial role for his team in the Asia Cup 2018 to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 15.

Sohail, who is an expert with official Asia Cup 2018 broadcasters Star Sports, also feels that the “positive approach” is the reason behind his success in his short international career so far.

He told Press Trust of India on Wednesday (September 12), “The reason behind Zaman's success has to be his positive approach. No matter what the situation, he goes out and bats positively.”

At the moment, Zaman is one of the best One Day International batsmen in the world and hogged headlines following his match-winning knock in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final against India and his blistering double hundred against Zimbabwe, which is the highest individual score for Pakistan.

Zaman will be certainly the biggest threat for India when they will face each other in the Asia Cup 2018 encounter on September 19 and former Pakistan skipper believes that his aggressive style of playing is also a key of his success with the bat.

Sohail signed off by saying, “He (Zaman) doesn't allow any bulls to fight in his head and knows that going out and playing positive cricket is what's best for him. That has been the key to his success.”

Pakistan will open their Asia Cup 2018 campaign against Hong Kong in Dubai on 16 September.
