BCCI reveals details of payments to Indian players, Bhuvneshwar Kumar highest paid Indian player

Virat Kohli got Rs 1.25 crore, while Shastri got Rs 2.05 crore as advance payment | GettyBoard of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the salary details of the Indian players and head coach Ravi Shastri and as a surprise, the highest paid cricketer from the team was not Virat Kohli, but fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar earned over Rs 3 crore in the month of August. The fee received by Bhuvneshwar include match fees for India tour to South Africa Test and ODI series, taxfree portion of 90 per cent retainership fees for January to March 2018, taxable portion of Test Ranking prize money received from ICC, taxfree portion of 90 per cent retainership fees for October to December 2017 and January to March 2018.

Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper got Rs 1.25 crore which entails match fees for the ODI and Test series against South Africa and the taxable portion of Test Ranking prize money received from ICC.

Head coach Ravi Shastri, who is under fire for the Test series loss against England, got an advance payment of Rs 2.05 crores for coaching services till October 17.
