Kona Srikar Bharat’s century and Kuldeep Yadav’s all-around show puts India A in strong position against Aus A

Australia A captain Mitchell Marsh scored an unbeaten 113 | TwitterThe second Test match between India A and Australia A at Alur, Bengaluru has seen India A take an upper hand thanks to some brilliant batting from keeper Kona Srikar Bharat and support from Kuldeep Yadav.

Australia A scored 346 runs in the first innings thanks to a well compiled unbeaten century by captain Mitchell Marsh (113*) and 68 from Travis Head. Shahbaz Nadeem (3/90) played perfect foil for Kuldeep Yadav, who picked 5/91.

India A started well with R Samarth (83) and AR Easwaran (86) adding 174 runs for the opening stand. Shubman Gill too chipped in with a fifty. The innings of the match so far for India A came from keeper Kona Srikar Bharat, who hit 106 runs in 186 balls with 12 fours and 1 six. Kuldeep Yadav too contributed with 52 in 112 balls as the duo took India past the 450- run mark and Bharat was last India A wicket to fall at 505.

Chris Tremain and Ashton Agar picked three wickets each for Australia A, while Brendan Dogget went for 101 runs in 15 overs for a solitary wicket.  

Aus A ended the day with 38/2 in their second innings.
