The Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar wasn't ever one to have let the emotion get the better of him but his legendary tussle with Australian great Glenn McGrath once brought the usually unseen side of him.

Tendulkar was never one to have a go at someone, cricket's highest run-getter believed in letting his bat do all the talking and it definitely expressed all the emotion that the man felt for over 35,000 International runs and especially against Australia.

While a generation was growing up, Sachin vs McGrath was one of the fiercest sporting rivalries. Being up against each other brought the best of two great individuals. Although, McGrath got Tendulkar out a lot of times, the greatest batsman ever scored many against him too.

Speaking about this rivalry, "Pigeon" as he was fondly called, talked about one famous incident which he was involved in with Tendulkar, to SportsKeeda recently and said, "Champions Trophy 2000, I bowled a short ball to Sachin, he pulled me. It went straight up in the air, I thought the keeper was going to catch it and there was a bit of a breeze and it drifted back and I thought third man was going to run in and catch it and it kept going and it went for six."

Talking about this encounter that saw India eventually scrip one of their famous victories in One-Day cricket against the best team in the world then, McGrath further added, "And then Sachin just smashed me everywhere and he was the one having a bit of a chat. He was getting stuck into me, sledging me and it was a little bit unusual. That hadn't really happened before. It was Sachin's day, he was confident and he was letting me know."
