Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra made history as he won a gold medal in the javelin throw at Asian Games 2018. He registered a national record-breaking throw of 88.06 meters.

His performance got him the gold medal and his gesture towards the Pakistani athlete won hearts on Twitter. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who won the bronze medal in the same event shook hands with the Indian athlete and the picture is going viral on the Internet.

Pakistan cricketer Hassan Ali was impressed with the gesture. He wrote, "sportsmanship, equality, respect and most importantly humanity well done ???????? both of you for lovely msg sports always best." But the gesture of Ali at Wagah border a few months back wasn't a good one.

Earlier, Indian tennis star Sania Mirza had tweeted about the kind gesture between the athletes of neighbor countries. She tweeted, “Why I always say SPORT is the best ‘education’ you can provide your child with! Teaches you sportsmanship, equality, respect and most importantly humanity! If only some people can learn this from our champion athletes too!! Well done to @Neeraj_chopra1 on the gold for India.”
