Cricbuzz has reported on Tuesday (28 August) that the two four-day games between India A and Australia A are set to be moved from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru because of heavy rains in the state.

The heavy showers in Andhra Pradesh are the result of a depression in Bay of Bengal, which forced the BCCI to shift the venue from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru, though there has not been any official announcement yet regarding the same.

Earlier in August, the ongoing Quadrangular series was supposed to be held in Vijayawada, but was later moved to Bengaluru for the same reason after two days of play were washed out.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), which hosted the four-day games, as well as, the Quadrangular A series at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and the KSCA venue in Alur, has managed to give adequate facilities by getting the games going despite some spells of rain in the city.

It is also learned that the KSCA has accepted BCCI's proposal for hosting the two four-day games against Australia A, which will now be held at the Chinnaswamy stadium –first from 2 to 5 and the second at Alur from 8 to 11 September.

The venue in Alur, which consists of three grounds along with a clubhouse and dressing rooms for players, has already hosted several List A games and T20 matches, as well as, the Ranji Trophy game between Karnataka and Delhi in the 2017-18 season after earning the First-Class status from BCCI.
