The Bangalore Mirror has reported that the Rajasthan Royals (RR) wants to rope in the Australian legend to Shane Warne as their Head Coach for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019.

Warne, who coached and captained the RR to its first and only IPL victory in the inaugural edition of the IPL 2008,could join the franchise as a full-time coach as RR seek to regain their lost glory in the T20 event.

However, there is no official confirmation about the news but the possibility can’t be denied, as Warne made a lot of impact on the RR players during the IPL 11 and that’s why the franchise would be keen to appoint him full-time coach next year.

In the last IPL season, Warne worked as mentor as the Royals managed to make it to the IPL 2018 Eliminator and now he is likely to take over the top role for the next season.

Noteworthy, RR along with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) returned to the IPL folds in the 11th edition if the cash-rich T20 league after serving two-year ban for their involvement in the spot-fixing scandal.

It remains to be seen whether the reports are true or will Warne continue being his role as the mentor with the franchise.
