Pathan brothers do their bit for Kerala flood victims

Veteran Indian cricketers Yusuf and Irfan Pathan have shown their philanthropic side for the flood-hit Kerala people, who are fighting for life and struggling for basic necessities, by sending relief materials for them in a bid to brings things back to normalcy in the state.

The extreme rain has affected thousands of people across the South Indian state of Kerala and hundreds lost their lives. However, the situation in the state has improved a little with the help of the defence forces who have rescued and rehabilitated those in the affected areas and set-up the relief camps for them but the people are still struggling for the basic needs.

The Pathan brothers, who are not only known for their contribution to Indian cricket but also their charitable work in the country, has extended their support to the Kerala people as they arranged the flood relief materials including the basics like medicines, food, innerwears, slippers, lungis, blankets and other necessities.

Noteworthy, many people across the country and other countries have also raised funds for the Kerala people while the Union home minister announced Rs 100 cr as aid and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Rs 500 cr from the National Disaster Fund to help the state.

Meanwhile, the Pathan brothers shared separate videos on their official social media handle to thank those people who’ve assisted them in this noble cause. Yusuf wrote, “I want to thank everyone who has contributed to help Kerala flood victims. Special mentions for @madhav14438, @brij126, @Jay6002.jp, @hinal6456, @_paarthlalwaani@mohammedkamilpeerzada @vbhageria @mansibhageria @indigo6E Let us continue and restore things back for them.”

While Irfan’s post reads, “Thank you all for making it happen and special mention to my family and @yusuf_pathan”
