Imran has thanked Navjot for his visit to Pakistan.

Former all-rounder and newest Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has thanked ex Indian batsmen and current Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, and Museums of the State of Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu, for his heartwarming gesture of visiting Pakistan for Imran's oath-taking ceremony.

Sidhu was invited by Khan as a former cricketing counterpart to be present while he takes oath having been elected Pakistan's 22nd Prime Minister.

On his presence for the special occasion, Navjot was quoted saying, “Imran Khan is a heartthrob to millions, I have come to Pakistan on [Imran’s] invitation." and added, “I have come to Pakistan with a message of love and consider these moments very special as a change has occurred in the democracy of Pakistan,”

“I’m not here as a politician but as a friend of Khan,”

And now, Imran feels thankful for Sidhu's delightful gesture of peace and harmony between the two neighbour countries.

He took to the social media network Twitter and posted, "I want to thank Sidhu for coming to Pakistan for my oath taking"

"He was an ambassador of peace & was given amazing love & affection by ppl of Pakistan," he added.

Imran also made a point regarding the ongoing criticism of Sidhu from certain sections in India.

He wrote, "Those in India who targeted him are doing a gt disservice to peace in the subcontinent" and send a message across that, "without peace our ppl cannot progress."
