Robin Uthappa picks his favorite Indian captain between MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly

Uthappa also revealed Indian cricket team's biggest prankster.

Indian batsman Robin Uthappa hasn't featured in the national team since 2015. The last game he played for India was against Zimbabwe. Uthappa also failed in this year's Indian Premier League with the bat. He added just 351 runs which included only one fifty in 16 innings. He was once the backbone of Kolkata franchise.

Uthappa is currently part of Bengaluru Blasters in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2018, in fact, he is the captain. The 32-year-old started the tournament on a high note. He scored 81 runs as his team finished with 228/5 on the board. Eventually, Blasters defeated Stuart Binny's Belagavi Panthers by 67 runs.

Before the tournament, Uthappa, in an interview with Sportskeeda named his favorite skipper. MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly were the options, and he didn't take a second to pick Dhoni over 'The Prince of Kolkata' under whom he made his debut for men in blue. Uthappa had a made an impact in World T20 2007 under Dhoni. 

Famous for his unique batting style, Uthappa also talked about his close friend in the current KKR squad. The Caribbean cricketer Andre Russell is his best mate in the side. He also named Harbhajan Singh as the biggest prankster in the Indian dressing room.
