Watch: Prithvi Shaw remember India's latest U19 World Cup triumph

Prithvi Shaw who led India in the 2018 U19 World Cup in New Zealand was recently  in England playing for India A. He hit a couple of hundreds in the one-dayers against Leicestershire and Windies A. In the days match against West Indies A he played a magnificent knock of 188 and scored a half-century against England Lions in the last game.

Currently he is playing for India A against South Africa A in India in the unofficial 4-day match. He scored runs here as well getting his campaign off by scoring 136. 

On the occasion of India's 72nd Independence Day, Shaw relieved the moment when India lifted the U19 World Cup title earlier this year and also shared his feelings about earing the Indian jersey. “It’s a proud moment for me for anyone who plays for India, wearing that jersey is a different feeling. You don’t play for yourself, the Indian jersey you are wearing is more important than your individual name and the team has more value,” he said in a video posted by the BCCI. 

The team led by  Shaw was constantly guided by the Wall of Indian cricket, Rahul Dravid who stood as a pillar for the team throughout the campaign. 

Shaw said on llifting the trophy  “It was an amazing feeling for each one of us. The efforts we had put in the last year and a half leading into the World Cup, we went there and won it. The feeling is indescribable, one of the best feelings I’ve had".
