WATCH: Smriti Mandhana is eyeing Women's World T20 and looking to continue her current form

Indian women's cricketer Smriti Mandhana became first Indian to play Kia Super League. She made sure that no one forgets her name and used the platform really well. Mandhana showed a scintillating performance in the on-going Women's Cricket Super League.

The 22-year-old looks unstoppable as she smashed 387 runs in seven innings at an average of 77.40, and a strike rate of 185.16 for the Western Storms. 

She has been in a raging form and bashed the bowlers in his 60-ball hundred innings and couple of the fifties. Mandhana's 18-ball half-century against the Loughborough Lighting was the joint fastest T20 fifty with New Zealand's Sophie Devine.

With Women's World T20 to be played in November this year, Mandhana's form is crucial for team India. India will play their group stage game against Pakistan on November 11.

The Indian left-handed batswoman spoke about taking the form to upcoming mega ICC event. "I have loved every bit of the KSL and BBL. I will take a lot from these leagues going into the T20 World Cup," said Mandhana to BCCI.tv.

The opener added that she will be playing the same bowlers in the World T20 so it will give her an idea on how to handle them in the tournament. Also, she can share the experience with her teammates as well.

Talking about the domestic T20 leagues like BBL and KSL, Mandhana said it helped her to become more mature. Being the only Indian it did help her to do her own things which taught the youngster a lot. 

Mandhana had not expected things to turn out this good for her before coming into the Kia Super League. The highest run-getter of the on-going league said she had only come here to learn and improve herself.

Adding that the maiden T20 century was special, Mandhana said more than runs it's how she has timed the ball has pleased her. 

Even Mandhana interacting with her teammates keeping World T20 in mind. She is very keen to do well in the World Cup and that is going to help India only.
