Steve Smith and David Warner are likely to play cricket in front of home crowd on  Australian soil when they will turn up for their respective club sides on 22 September in grade cricket.

Smith’s Sutherland will host Mosman at the Glenn McGrath Oval while Warner's Randwick-Petersham will kick off their season against St George at Coogee Oval in the Premier Cricket Season in Australia.

Meanwhile, it is yet to confirm the availability of the suspended duo for the entire season, but they will be playing a fair few games for their respective clubs.

Noteworthy, Smith and Warner are serving a one year ban for their involvement in the ball tampering fiasco in South Africa in March 2018, while Cameron Bancroft also banned for nine months.

Following the ball-tampering scandal, the trio is not eligible to represent Australia at international level or compete in domestic competitions in the country during the suspension period. However, Cricket Australia has allowed them to take part on club level in a bid to keep themselves match ready.

However, the suspended trio has been involved in the league matches over the past few months, as Smith and Warner turned out for Toronto Nationals and Winnipeg Hawks respectively in Canada's inaugural Global T20 and had few decent outings in the T20 competition. The duo is currently playing their trade in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2018.
