West Indies’ mercurial all-rounder Andres Russell had an extremely perfect T20 game for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2018. His wonderful performance came against the Trinbago Knight Riders.
The all-rounder, who also captains Jamaica Tallawahs, contributed with his fielding, bowling, and batting to give his side a 4-wicket victory.
In the final over of the TKR innings, Russell dismissed Brendon McCullum, Darren Bravo, and Denesh Ramdin to finish his first CPL hat-trick. However, his team was chasing 225 runs set by TKR and smashed a 40 ball century, coming in at 41/5. He hammered 13 sixes, the maximum by any player in CPL, to score the fastest CPL century, in just 40 balls. The batsman remained saw the game through, scoring an unbeaten 121 in 49 balls.
Russell won the Man of the match award for his efforts.
