Mohammad Abbas, Javeria Khan, Sana Mir and Hassan Ali win big at the annual PCB awards

Hasan Ali and Mohammad Abbas | GettyHassan Ali, who won the Player of the tournament in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and Mohammad Abbas, won big honors at the annual Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) awards held on August 8, 2018.

Abbas won the Test player of the year for picking 27 wickets during the period of 2017-18, which included the man winning 8-wicket haul at Lord’s recently. Hassan Ali won the ODI player of the year for his 33 wickets in the same calendar year and also achieving the no.3 spot in the ICC ODI bowlers’ rankings.

Babar Azam was the best T20 player of the year, while all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who made a crucial 83 on Test debut against Ireland this year, won the best emerging player award.

Javeria Khan and Sana MirFakhar Zaman, who became the fastest to 1,000 runs in ODI and became the first double centurion in ODIs for Pakistan, was awarded 'special award for outstanding performance'.

Women cricketer Sana Mir was awarded the ODI player of the year and Javeria Khan won the T20I player of the year award. Javeria also won the best batter award in domestic cricket.
