Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi who is a part of the Jamaica Tallawahs in the CPL will be missing the season due to a knee injury. He has informed about the development of this fans via Twitter.
“Due to my knee rehab, I’ll have to sadly miss out this year’s #BiggestPartyInSport with the @JAMTallawahs
I’ll be cheering for the team from home and I’m sure @simadwasim will fill up for me #CPL18 #DreamBIGwidTallawahs,” he wrote.

The franchise has wished him a speedy recovery in return with a tweet as well. Afridi sustained the injury during the PSL while playing for Karachi Kings.

Earlier, Afridi had appeared for Edmonton Royals in the Global Canada T20 League in July and also led the ICC World XI side against the Windies in the Hurricane Relief T20I in May.
