India’s no.1 Test wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha is in England too. However, unlike the Team India, which is there to play the five-match Test series; Saha was in Manchester, to be particular for surgery on his injured shoulder.

Saha had been carrying the shoulder surgery all through the IPL 2018. However, before this injury was discovered, Saha was ruled out of the second half of the IPL and Afghanistan Test, due to breaking his thumb in IPL.

There was a huge controversy when it was found that the NCA, Bengaluru had bungled his recovery and aggravated his shoulder problem.

This led to Saha losing his place in the Indian team for the England series, which he would have played, had he had been fully fit.

Saha had put a tweet on the day of the surgery with the caption, “So far so good. Going for the surgery today. Thank You for all your love and good-wishes. Would like to thank @BCCI for all the necessary arrangements. Will soon be back on the field! #thankyou

BCCI then posted images of Saha from after his surgery in Manchester, with a message, “Here's wishing @Wriddhipops a speedy recovery. He underwent a laberal repair surgery in Manchester today under the supervision of BCCI Medical Team.
