Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had a candid chat with The Quint which helped his fans to know him better. The cricketer talked about many off cricket topics too which we usually don't know about our stars.

The Indian bowler revealed he wanted to join Indian Army if not a cricketer. He also added that the national anthem before games gives him goosebumps.

Chahal has almost sealed his place in the limited-overs side with outstanding consistency. The Haryana cricketer made his international debut in 2016 but has been an integral part of India's limited-overs team since a year. His desire to play for India at least for next 10 years. "I want to play for India for 10 years. So that’s what is going on in my mind, that I keep playing for the next 10 years," Chahal said.

In 26 ODIs, the 28-year-old has managed to bag 45 wickets with an impressive economy of just 4.72. He has a 6-wicket haul in T20Is where he has 42 wickets in the same number of games as ODIs.

When asked about his favorite moment in his cricket career, Chahal replied with the 6-wicket haul in T20Is against England. "The 6 wickets that I picked against England at Bengaluru, which happens to be my favorite ground," he said.

Among his many wickets, he rated the one he picked against Sri Lanka as the best. Chahal also stated the reason. "Angelo Mathews’ wicket in December 2017 at Visakhapatnam. It drifted from middle stump and hit the off-stump. One of my best deliveries," he said.

Chahal enjoys the guidance of MS Dhoni from behind the stumps. During the interview, he also shared the name which Dhoni gave him.

"He always calls me Tilli. Whenever I’m bowling, he advises me, and says ‘Tilli bowl this’. He always uses Tilli," the leggie said.

But still, it's not Dhoni to whom Chahal goes for advice. He prefers Rohit Sharma, under who he made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians. The Mumbai cricketer Rohit is also his 3 am friend, along with Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul.
