Having missed the last series versus Afghanistan in Dehradun, Mustafizur Rahman has made a comeback into Bangladesh's T20 Internationals side for the upcoming series against West Indies in the Caribbean after recovering from a hairline fracture on his toe that he sustained playing for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2018.

Having lost the Test series 2-0, Bangladesh's are desperately striving to make a point in the limited-overs leg of the tour and the return of one of their best helps the cause further. Mustafizur's return will substantially increase Bangladesh's prospects of finishing the tour well. The left-arm quick played the key role in taking Bangladesh near victory in the Nidahas Trophy final against India in March before Dinesh Karthik's once-in-a-lifetime knock took the game away from Bangla Tigers. How much his absence takes a toll on them, can be seen with the way Afghanistan inflicted a series whitewash on Bangladesh earlier this year.

The three-match T20I series begins on July 31 at St. Kitts. The second and the third games of the series will be played on August 4 and 5 at Lauderhill, USA.
