Speculation regarding MS Dhoni's retirement has once again sprung up in the ongoing India tour of England. This time it is his ex-Indian teammate Zaheer Khan who has backed Dhoni to continue playing for the country till the 2019 World Cup in England.

Dhoni being one of the most decorated cricketers of all time, has had the debate around his future hovering over the results of mixed performances that he has put in for more than a year. The IPL 11 season showed the world that he still has what it takes to perform at the top level but his performance in England wasn't the same.

"If the team management has persisted with him till now, they might as well do it till the World Cup," Zaheer told PTI on the sidelines of a seminar. Further asserting on the qualities that Dhoni offers, Zaheer said that Dhoni's knowledge of leading the team to the World Cup title in 2011 is what would come handy to Kohli who surely can do a lot better knowing that a leader like Dhoni is in the team. "Dhoni has performed the difficult job of captaining India for years. His experience could prove to be extremely beneficial. He is as good as we have got," Zaheer said on the subject of Dhoni's future.

MS Dhoni was a part of the Indian outfit in the limited overs series in Ireland first and then England.
