Mokit Hariharan of VB Kanchi Veerans' unique ability to bowl both right and left-handed has caught the attention of former Australian cricketer Michael Hussey.  Hussey has even went further to term him as his favorite in the competition so far.

“He is a bowler who can use both his hands effectively and I would like to watch his development in the next few years,” he said during an interaction with the students at the Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology grounds here on Friday.

He also shared his playing experience with the Chennai Super Kings and showered words of praise for M.S. Dhoni. “He is a natural leader who treats everybody nicely and that prompts us to play well for him,” said Hussey.

“He also handles pressure situation well. He would come around and tap on the players’ shoulder and tell them not to worry much. I consider myself lucky and blessed to have played with him" Hussey further added.

The left-handed Australian batsman earlier voiced his concern regarding the need of the competition to get an overhaul. He said that the league needs to become more attractive in the long run and needs to gather good broadcast and advertising partners for its survival.

“I also understand the TV and sponsors’ point of view. They want some better players to play to make the league more attractive and I guess sometimes without these sponsors, the league might not even exist,” he noted.

Finally, Hussey lauded the efforts of the College chairman Dr. S. Thangavelu, its secretary Dheepan Thangavelu for having taken the efforts to host the Sri Shakthi Trophy that carries a one lakh prize money.
