With Bangladesh playing the Caribbean in the ongoing series, the two teams will play once again later this year when the Windies travel to Bangladesh for a full-length tour. This will also be the first full tour of the Windies to Bangladesh since 2012, when the tourists had won the two-match Test series 2-0 before losing a riveting five-match ODI series 3-2 and ending the tour with a win in the solo T20I.

Windies will reach a week before the series starts with the first Test in Chittagong. The second Test is slated to be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from November 30. All three ODIs will be day-nighters with the first two to be played in Dhaka and the final game at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The teams would then stay back in Sylhet for the opening T20I that follows, before moving to Dhaka for the concluding two T20Is.

In the current ongoing series between the two teams in the Caribbean, the Windies won the Test series 2-0 and are currently level in the three-match ODI series after winning the second game in Guyana. WIndies won by three runs as Bangladesh scored 268 for 6 in their quest to chase down 271. Shimron Hetmyer scored a 93 ball 125 and was ably supported by Rovman Powell who scored a crucial 44 batting down the order.

The series-deciding third ODI will be played at St Kitts on Saturday followed by a three-match T20I series to be played on July 31, August 4 and 5.
