Having taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series, Bangladesh are banking on spin-friendly conditions in Guyana to register a rare series win against the Windies in their own backyard.

The first ODI win was a huge morale booster for the side after they were humbled in the two-Test match series. The Windies registered big victories as Bangladesh suffered an innings defeat in the first Test and by 166 runs in the second.

The turnaround they made in the first ODI in Guyana courtesy Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mashrafe Mortaza stand them in good stead to eye a victory in the second game.

Windies will take on the visitors in the second ODI at Guyana on Wednesday (July 25) in an attempt to level the series after losing the opening game by 48 runs.

"We have the best chance [of clinching the series] in Guyana," Shakib told reporters ahead of the second ODI. "This is perhaps the only wicket in West Indies that is known for assisting the spinners and we have got a good track record here," he said.

Shakib further said that they cannot be complacent going into the second ODI as the hosts will be eyeing to win and draw the series as well.  "We will try to wrap the series by tomorrow but at the same time we must remember that they will be eager to make a comeback," he noted. "The St Kitts wicket is known to produce runs and as it will be slightly smaller than this and it will suit them" concluded Shakib.
