After one of the most one-sided Test series ever, Windies and Bangladesh will take part in the 3-match ODI series starting on Sunday. Bangladesh will be banking on their recent record in ODI format which is on par with the Caribbean team. The Test series did bring down the confidence of Bangladesh and exposed their inability of playing quality pace. The raw pace of Alzarri Joseph and Keemo Paul could well continue to possess the threat to experienced Bangladesh’s batting line-up. West Indies last featured in an ODI in March 2018 at the ICC CWC Qualifier in Zimbabwe, where they beat every other team they faced in that tournament, except Afghanistan who got the better of them twice including the final. On the flipside, the visitors have been outplayed in all three facets of the game and they have not been able to push Caribbean men at all in test series. West Indies will start favourite as they are playing at home. Bangladesh, however, would come hard at West Indies after the defeat in the Test series.

Best economical pick – West Indies Skipper Jason Holder topped the wickets charts in the test series with 16 wickets. Holder along with Alzarri Joseph who has 23 wickets in 13 matches will be the biggest threat to Bangladesh in ODI's.

Top captains & vice captains – The hosts are coming on the back of test series victory, which should give them confidence and momentum heading into the ODI's. Windies batting strength resides mainly in Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis, who have been one of the world's most devastating opening pairs in this format. While Shimron Hetmyer had an impressive outing with a knock of 86 in the second test and if openers fail, he will be their key batsmen in the middle

Smart pick – This series will be marked as the return of Andre Russell to the Windies’ ODI squad who played only one ODI since the completion of the 2015 World Cup that too in November 2015. His inclusion will strengthen the already strong batting of the home team with the likes of Evin Lewis and Chris Gayle at the top.

Cautious Pick – The Bangladeshi middle order batsman Sabbir Rahman would be under tremendous pressure to perform in this series. The hard-hitting veteran batsman is yet to put up an innings of substance in his last 20 to 25 appearances for the tigers in the limited overs format.

My XI – Evin Lewis (Captain), Shimron Hetmyer (Vice-Captain), Jason Holder, Andre Russell, Tamim Iqbal, Mashrafe Mortaza, Ashley Nurse, Alzarri Joseph, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Shai Hope
