Pakistan Cricket Board has recently announced the schedule for Pakistan's tour of England next year. The series will comprise of one T20I and five ODIs.
More importantly for Pakistan, the series will be played before the 2019 World Cup which means the series will be a dress rehearsal for them before the marquee tournament. Pakistan last won the World Cup in 1992 and many cricket experts believe that Pakistan can spring in a surprise to lift the title, especially winning the Champions Trophy last year in the same country.
The current Pakistan team under Sarfraz has made some notable achievements in recent times with the Champions Trophy campaign being the standout. Thereafter, the Tri-series win in Zimbabwe involving Australia as well.
The England tour for Pakistan is expected to be a competitive one with both the teams playing good limited overs cricket in recent times. Pakistan have always managed to surprise the cricketing fraternity at the World Cup stage and the series against England gives them an opportunity to build their world cup hopes once again.
