Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has announced a new venture for the betterment of the game, as he joins hands with Middlesex County Club to launch a new state of the art cricketing facility which will be providing academic guidance to the young aspiring cricketers from the age of 9 to 14-year-olds.

Test Cricketer's highest run-scorer has lent his name to the "Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy" and Merchant Taylor's School in Northwood will host the first camp in August before more in Mumbai and London. Tendulkar's academy will also provide opportunities for talented underprivileged children through 100 scholarships.

The master blaster was quoted saying about the development as, "Middlesex and I are focused on providing the very best in cricket education, as much as possible, for our students," 

Richard Goatley, Middlesex CEO, said that It had been a "great privilege" to work on delivering the academy with Tendulkar and added, "Our established academy programme, twinned with Sachin's unique insight, knowledge and ability will provide kids with a unique experience they will never forget," 

Tendulkar continues to bat for cricket and the society. The great man took to the social media network Twitter to announce the news amongst his fans and followers. 

He tweeted, "A small step towards a big dream, “Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy”, for all the young girls & boys to play & learn from top cricketing minds. Excited to be partnering with @Middlesex_CCC. @tendulkarmga"
