Indian fencer Bhavani Devi recalls her valuable time with legendary Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid who mentored her through the  Rahul Dravid athlete mentorship Programme in 2015. Bhavani Devi and Rahul Dravid came forward to meet each other in a sporting event three years back. Rahul Dravid played the role of a mentor to Bhavani Devi and other athletes.

While talking about Rahul Dravid as her mentor, she said “He [Dravid] was very patient. He heard us out and then gave his inputs. He made us feel so comfortable. I respect him for his down-to-earth personality. It has taught me a lot about being a successful sport star.

Rahul Dravid who served Indian cricket team for nearly 16 years had taken the role of nurturing young talent since his retirement. Rahul Dravid is the coach and mentor of INDIA A and INDIA U-19. Since his retirement from the game of cricket, he has been a true inspiration for the young sports athletes.
