Australian Test batting line-up got a big boost after Shaun Marsh was declared fit for their upcoming Test series against Pakistan in October. The 35-year old cricketer came home last week after suffering an injury on his shoulder.

Cricket Australia's medical-examiner determines the left-hander batsman will be fit for the two-Test matches against Pakistan in UAE. Meanwhile, Joe Burns will replace the left-hand batsmen for Glamorgan to play T20 matches.

"Shaun consulted a specialist in relation to his AC joint injury and it was determined that surgery is not required," CA's medical officer John Orchard said of Marsh.

"He'll now undergo rehabilitation with a focus on ensuring he is available for selection ahead of the next away tour against Pakistan."

His younger sibling, Mitchell Marsh who is also out of the team and come forward to say that last Ashes series has made Shaun Marsh a better player at the game. He added "We've seen the player that Shaun has become over the last 12 to 18 months," he said.

"We've seen a real mature side to his game ... and a real sense of confidence in himself which is probably the whole reason why he's developed into one of the best players in Australian cricket, even when Smith and Warner are there.

"His experience and leadership are going to be really important over the next 12 months for this group. It's been great to watch him getting a good crack at it over the last 12 months so hopefully, he can keep it going."

It will be really crucial for Shaun Marsh to play Test matches for  Australia as their top order batsmen are out of the team over the ball-tampering scandal.

Steve Smith and David Warner will get to play for the national team next March as right now both of the players are suffering one-year ban over their ball-tampering inclusion.
