Having beaten in the first Test against Windies in Antigua, Bangladesh have now received a huge setback as they will be losing their key bowler going into the second Test in Jamaica.

Bangladesh pacer Shafiul Islam will be missing the second Test owing to an ankle injury. Shafiul sustained the injury on his right ankle on while fielding during a practice session on Tuesday.

"He is unavailable for selection for the second Test and will likely be unavailable for three to six weeks depending on further assessment. He will remain with team and travel home after the match. We expect the acute swelling to reduce by that time." Bangladesh team physio Thihan Chandramohan said.

Shafiul's injury comes as a lifeline for Rubel Hossain, with the team management likely to ask him to stay back for the upcoming ODI series. He was scheduled to fly back home after a rather disappointing performance in the first Test.
