Australian opener, Matt Renshaw is expecting to come back in Australia's A squad for their tour to India. Matt Renshaw is very positive on being getting selected for the tour against India. Earlier the 22-year old cricketer had a surgery on his left-hand index finger.

Australia A tour to India will kick-start from September 2 to September 11 where both the nations will play two Test matches at Visakhapatnam.

"I've got surgery ... so probably about 6-8 weeks after that," he told the Brisbane Heat podcast when asked about his planned return to playing.

"I'll hopefully get back just in time for the Aus A series, but we'll have to work on that quite a bit."

Matt Renshaw has even played 11 Test matches for Australia and has scored 636 runs at a batting average of 33.4. In fact, his highest score in Test matches is 184.

Coach Justin Langer has already flagged the A tour will have a "huge" bearing on selection for the Test side that will play two Tests against Pakistan in the UAE.

"It's a great opportunity, particularly for our young batsmen, or any batsman in Australia," Langer said.

"I'll certainly be watching it closely because we have to start building the top six in the Test team."

Matt Renshaw is one of those four players along with Mitchell Marsh, Peter Handscomb and Usman Khawaja who will be taking part against India A.
