Australian pacer Pat Cummins started the verbal battle way ahead of India's tour to Australia later this year, and cricket pundits think he picked the wrong guy. Cummins, the 25-year-old fast bowler, made comments on Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

India is scheduled to tour Australia for a period of two months, starting from November 2018. They will face the Kangaroos in whites after the three T20Is. The Kohli-led India will play a total of 4 Tests there.

Speaking at an event at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Tuesday, Cummins said, "My brave, bold prediction ... I’d say I think Virat Kohli is not going to get a hundred and we’re going to knock them off over here."

But cricket pundits like Michael Vaughan and Dean Jones think he made a mistake here. The former England captain, Vaughan said would Cummins like to bet on his comment? "Would he like to have a wager that he does!??? (sic)," the cricketer turned commentator tweeted.

Cummins' own countryman Dean Jones smelled trouble following the comment made by the pacer. "Oh no.. he didn't did he? #trouble (sic)," wrote Jones.

Virat, who averages 62 in Australia, would like to reply with the bat. When India toured Australia in 2014-15, the 29-year-old had scored 4 centuries.
