Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan believes Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the pillar of Indian cricket team as he has provided unlimited services to his nation by winning three major ICC trophies. Irfan Pathan who will play an important role for Jammu and Kashmir in the latest Ranji season feels MS Dhoni is the pillar of Indian cricket team.

"Mahi (M S Dhoni) is a pillar in Indian cricket team and the way he mentors on and off field is laudable," Pathan told UNI in an interview here at GGM Science College Ground while taking camps of senior and under-23 cricketers.

In the upcoming Ranji season, Irfan Pathan will be playing for Jammu and Kashmir as a player where he will also be assisting the young key players of Jammu and Kashmir. "This season I will play and enjoy the cricket and rest roads are always open if you are regularly playing the game." Irfan Pathan added about World Cup 2019.

"There is no comparison of all the captains I have played with. Every era is different." Pathan added about the captains of Indian cricket team.

"But, what MS Dhoni did in result-wise either it was World Cup win or T20 World cup victory and other formats of cricket, was also praiseworthy," said the left-arm medium pacer. "It looks good when a captain cheers up and lifts the morale of the team. Virat himself is a class cricketer."

Irfan Pathan has been in Jammu and Kashmir from the past one-week to select the probable XI for Jammu and Kashmir for the upcoming season of Ranji Trophy.
