Wicketkeeper-batsman for Bangladesh, Nurul Hasan has come out and said that it is very important for his side to come out mentally fresh in the second Test at Jamaica, after an embarrassing loss in the first match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. 

Batting first, the visitors could only manage 43 runs in the first innings as the pace, bounce, and movement generated by the West Indies pace attack of Shannon Gabriel, Kemar Roach proved too good for them. They then conceded a lead of 363 runs and never recovered in the match before eventually losing it by an innings and 219 runs. 

The game exposed Bangladesh's soft underbelly in such conditions but Nurul reiterated that it is about coming out fresh for the Shakib Al Hasan led side and try & build partnerships in the middle. 

Nurul, who played a counter-attacking knock of 64 in the second innings, said, "Our batsmen need to make sure they don't repeat the mistakes they committed in the opening game, I think one or two partnerships will change the entire scenario of the game. So our main (goal) will remain in building partnerships. There is some extra bounce while few deliveries turn out to be uneven but it is not unplayable. We just need to build few partnerships in the middle and it will help us to recover from the disappointment of the opening Test,"

The innings and time in the middle has given Nurul confidence, as he further added, "We have spoken about our batting debacle and it was disappointing, I think we batted badly in the first innings and we lost quite a few wickets early in the second innings,"

"I will try to carry on the momentum that I picked up while batting in the second innings through playing quite a few deliveries in the middle as it had given me the confidence to look forward,"

The second and final Test of the series will start on July 12 at the historic Sabina Park in Jamaica.
